Patient information

What to expect at the visitation for your spinal condition?

Specialist treatment of your spine condition takes place in three phases.

1. phase

It starts with a focused anamnesis – a conversation about your problems and perceptions of them. At this point, we review and discuss all previous necessary medical examinations and treatments (I suggest that you prepare copies of all earlier referrals in chronological order). The following is a description of your current problem and information about your realistic expectations after the treatment.

2. phase

The second phase of treatment is a targeted examination of the spine. It takes place in underwear, and you will perform specific movements and tests.

3. phase

The final stage is a review of all previous imaging and possible neurophysiological diagnostics, so bring a CD with images if you have them (recent X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging, CT, etc.).

The appointment ends with an expert opinion (report). A summary of the examination, diagnosis, possible additional diagnostics, and treatment plan for your problem are given. This is either conservative (instructions, physiotherapy, analgesia, referral to specialists in relevant fields) or operative with the proposed plan of surgery and rehabilitation.
